In all the time I've been here, yesterday's curse was maybe the most awful thing that has happened yet. Being married to one's worst enemy is one thing, but that innocents, children as adults, have to know death for a day? That's a gross injustice. Now, we can be glad that it was only a day, certainly - but can you measure death? Isn't a day enough, or rather, isn't a day too much? This isn't something that should happen at all, and it's appalling that it does and is to be expected here.

When I went to Huey-kun's today, I saw words scribbled on the walls near aparment building number one. Two sentences: one was written neatly, like a small work of art, almost, and said "Down with the establishment!". The most curious thing about this would perhaps be that it was written in the Japanese spelling of my time. The other was all but smuddled there and I half had to guess what it said, but it was this: "Fuck you, deities". Looks like some rebellious spirits have been stirred by these curses. It would be a wonder if not. Still, the question is what this would accomplish - probably a punishment for the perpetrator, should the deities be especially miffed by having their walls painted on.

Well! This reminds me - Honda Tohru-san and I have talked, and we thought it might be a good idea to have a party. A feel-good party for everyone who wants a little cheer-up after a curse like this. What does everyone think?

(OOC: Plot is a go! Also, heads up that I might end up backdating a bit, as I will be away over the weekend!)

I can imagine. I've only been here for a month and a half and I've already been through all the stores.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
... stores?

[identity profile] floralities.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Stores! For shopping!

He is very hard to please.

I haven't seen these writings... but I suppose if I did I wouldn't be able to read Japanese.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. Yes. Really? There are quite a lot of them.

I wonder if your network device would be able to recognize and translate it if you took a picture?

[identity profile] floralities.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well, all the good ones, anyway.

audio;

[identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
... Can any of them do that? I've never tried.

[identity profile] justasystem.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think writing those things will do much.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really think so, either. Seems more like someone was just angry.

[identity profile] seeking-heat.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
One of several. Though by irony, his killer suffered the worst of everything.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
... I admit I've probably seen all the sweets stores by now.

[identity profile] justasystem.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think we all know most people don't like being stuck here, anyway.

I've no idea! I just know that mine has this function that recognizes handwriting.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Would you like to tell me what happened?

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's pretty much a well-known fact. Though I've at least met one person who didn't seem to mind.

Can it recognize less than elegant handwriting?

[identity profile] lyra-of-dust.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe a party where we make more of those signs would be good for right now.

[identity profile] floralities.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Sweets?

audio;

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
... not really. I have to put quite an effort into making text entries. Maybe I'll go back to voice entries or try the buttons.

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Signs? Like the ones I saw?

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Sweet food.

[identity profile] lyra-of-dust.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Why not? Maybe it won't do much, but it's better than doing nothing, right?

[identity profile] revengeisalie.livejournal.com 2009-03-14 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
That much is true. We could also think of things that could be done while we're at it.

I always prefer to speak and hear.
