Well, no, I wouldn't say that. It just makes it easier to keep everyone straight, I think. For example, when nobility visits, it's just their title, their name, and the land they're visiting from. That way if you get a--oh, I don't know, a Rowena from Tamir and a Rowena from Kolyma, for example--and both were princesses, you'd be able to tell which is which by what land they're from.

On the other hand, if you were to say "run down and fetch Will the blacksmith, the horse has thrown a shoe", there might be several Wills about, but the one you need is the blacksmith, so that would be the Will you'd want to fetch. ...I hope that makes sense? I'm not sure if I've explained it properly.
