Well! It seems like a lot of people want some kind of belated celebration for my birthday. It surprised me a little. Only, who wants to come, and when does everyone have time? Ah, wait! Let me use this one function my network device has... the polling function! I've been fiddling with it a little, and I think I've got the hang of it now. Watch this!

... okay, it, uhm, doesn't quite work the way I wanted it to. Scratch that. Where'd I go wrong? I could've sworn it worked before. Oh well, later!

Anyway, the question is: Friday, Sunday or Saturday? That would be June 5, 6, and 7 respectively. Of course, we could always make it another date if those aren't convenient! Then there's the question of where. We could hold the party at my apartment... but at this time of the year, I'd say it would be nicer outside - if the weather is good. So Xanadu or the beach? We could even bring fireworks or something!

Lastly, any suggestions on what kind of cake I should try making? Because Rokuta-kun insisted that there be cake. And, uh, Youko, you need to help me with that. I've got zero experience with cakes.

This is gonna be great. I'm really glad, you guys.

(OOC: ... definitely posted too early. |D Going to bed, will pick up tags later. ♥)

[The click of the key turning in the lock can be heard, and a moment after it softly closes - not quite as carefully as could have been, maybe. Dull steps on the floor; abused straw sandals crickle.]

I'm home! ... what? Ah, I was... out... busy...

Mh, yeah. Going to bed now. Telling you later.

[Rustling of cloth, and then her voice is closer. Heavy breaths make uncomfortable noises.]

Oh, this was on? It really... likes doing that at the worst moments. But...

To anyone who helped: thank you. You're wonderful. You're really... really great.

Long OOC note of some importance. )

So, uhm, I'm sorry for my behaviour... three days ago. I was a little very know-it-all. But... I wasn't too bad, right? Anyway, if you still have answers for my questions, I'd still like to hear them!

And congratulations to Nakamura-san for your election to Warden! I think you'll do the job well, from what you've told me. Sorry to Seiei-san for not going and talking to you! But well, I've been a little busy these last few days.

Speaking of it, Manji is here! Ah, I probably shouldn't gush too much about it, or he'll berate me for it! But I'm really happy. Not even the curses can get me down now.

(OOC: ... and here, look, I forgot the OOC note: that Rin has moved out of Ze Apartment into a place of her own with Manji.)

Yesterday's curse was pretty interesting! "Rhymes" are a totally new thing to me - we don't really have them in traditional Japanese poetry. It's more about syllable counts and stuff. But a lot of people seemed at least familiar with it. I wonder - what cultures are they native to? Does it have anything to do with the language they are written in? Will there be Japanese poems with rhymes in the future?

And though I wasn't affected, the curse day seemed to want to give me a nudge or something - at any rate, my visit at the library yielded me the kutone shirika! It's an epic from the Ezo people. That's pretty much all I knew about it. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure where from. Maybe I picked it up from some conversation I overheard in a tea house or something. It certainly wasn't part of my education, because, you know, the Ezo people - they're just "those barbarians up north" to most. It's a whole legend told in verses. There are some pretty vivid descriptions in it! Like in this passage:

" So this was our Castle!
Never could I have guessed
How beautiful it was.
The fencing done long ago
Standing so crooked;
The new fencing
So high and straight.
The old fencing like a black cloud,
The new fencing like a white cloud.
They stretched around the castle
Like a great mass of cloud--
So pleasant, so lovely!
The crossbars laid on top
Zigzagged as the fence ran.
"

... that shall be enough - guess most of you are pretty tired of poems since yesterday? Ahahah. I tried my hand at poetry a few times, but I don't think I'm very good at it. Guess it's not really where my talents lie. I wonder if I have any talent, really.

Anyway! I heard there are flowers blooming in the gardens. Anyone want to go?

(OOC: So it's really spelled kutune shirka, but not like Rin knows that.)

Well! I've acquired work and a residence - thank you so much, Nakajima-san, Earl Ciel! And Earl Ciel, I hope my work so far has been satisfying. Shan't start out the wrong way, now shall I?

Oh, and - Link-san, Vin-san! I've found out how to do "links" now. Nakajima-san has been teaching me. The guide I've been telling you about can be found if you click on this word: Guide.

This "Christmas" is in three days, right? I should really get to finding presents. Uhm... what does one normally give for Christmas? Is there anything specific?

Also, would anyone know if there are any shops here that sell kimono? Mine is beyond repair.

Lastly, I am still interested in investigations regarding exits to the City. To those insisting it's impossible: it might be, but there's not much I can lose trying. I'm not going to just give up.
